Latvians have always loved to tell stories and uphold traditions. Over the centuries, autumn and winter evenings have created a special environment for new stories to be made up; myths flowed together with memories and new traditions emerged. One legend has to do with the tradition of decorating Christmas trees began in Riga 500 years ago.
Visit us this year as well, because no doubts The Christmas tree will be bright and merry!
It's a must - see! Only for 3 days (17.11. -19.11.) at The Black Heads House Arthur Analts with his London Design Biennale awarded interactive installation "Matter to Matter" .
Arthur Analts recreates the transition from gas to liquid using a large green–glazed glass surface. The installation invites visitors to leave their own message or print and, after a couple of minutes, the temporal marks naturally disappear. Through this process Analts asks us to consider the power of nature and highlights the role of designers and architects as the creators of a responsible, sustainable future where nature and its inhabitants coexist.
The House name first formed in 14th century when the young, unmarried merchants – black heads, settled in Riga city.
Are you a student? Senior? Family? Artist? Or you just want to see the luxurious house from inside?
