Opening hours in holidays

Please note the changes in our working hours!
On Dec 30th the Black Heads house will be open till 4 p.m., we await our last visitors untill 3 p.m.
On Decemeber 31st and 1st of January we are closed, we will be open for visitors on Jan 2nd again.

The Black Heads House has welcomed the first visitors

During the last holidays, the Black Heads House opened the door to the first visitors by offering to see and explore the exquisite halls, offices of presidents, historical cellars and exhibition housed in the building.

THE PREPARATORY WORKS OF THE NEW EXHIBITION TAKE PLACE IN THE HOUSE OF THE BLACKHEADS, THEREFORE, AT THE MOMENT, THE HOUSE IS OPEN ONLY FOR LEASE OF PREMISES

Currently, the preparatory works of the new exhibition are performed in the House of the Blackheads, therefore, the house is not available for public viewing.

Whereas already from mid-September the House of the Blackheads will be available for organisation of various events – banquets, festivities, concerts, balls, solemn receptions, corporate events. AVIATION MUSEUM ''SPILVE'' IS CLOSED FOR VISITORS

AVIATION MUSEUM ''SPILVE'' IS CLOSED FOR VISITORS. After annual technical inspection in aviation museum ''Spilve'', museum was considered as unsafe for visitors. It is intended to make more testing on buildings technical safety, to make sure, if the museum can be opened for public.

LIVE BROADCAST OF 27th EUROPEAN ACADEMY AWARDS CEREMONY

On December 13, at 19:00 cinema Splendid Palace will offer a live broadcast of European Academy Awards Ceremony from Latvian National Opera, bringing together European film-makers, European Film Academy members, guests, nominees and winners to honour the best European cinematographic works. Live broadcast is supported by Lattelecom.

RIGA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL - PROGRAMME

From 2 December to 12 December cinema Splendid Palace will host Riga International Film Festival (Riga IFF), the programme of which includes both the latest Latvian films and retrospectives, and the most topical European films.

A NIGHT AT THE CINEMA IN 1914

On 6 December from 13:00 to 19:00 within the framework Riga International Film Festival, Riga Film Museum will offer a special event - a film programme, created by the British Film Institute, which characterises a typical 1914 film session. The programme "A Night at the Cinema in 1914" consists of 14 British and American films: comedies, adventure films, travel reviews and newsreel films, made in 1914.
